  In my current role, my responsibilities encompass successful collaboration with cross-functional teams, implementing best practices, and deploying innovative solutions to address complex reliability challenges for the animation productions at Nickelodeon.
  • Infrastructure as Code
  • Establish a Terraform Cloud environment to assess the functionality of our upcoming AWS integration for the render farm. This involves expertise in tasks such as state migration, permission management, Terraform version upgrades, seamless integration with GitHub, definition of input variables, and extraction of queried outputs.
  • Implement Jenkins automation to streamline the approved process of updating code.
  • Arhictectural Design
  • Produce detailed Cloud/Hybrid solutions for migrating several projects from on prem to cloud/hybrid environments.
  • Migrate/upgrade on prem Filemaker database server 3 times over the years, with plans already in place to move to AWS solution.
  • Version/asset control environment using Perforce and FLIX which requires an EC2, RDS, and EBS. On prem solution includes VM’s, MySQL database.
  • POC testing and production implementation of remote desktop solutions such as Teradici, HP ZCentral, Zscaler.
  • Asset management Shotgrid for production and dev environments (RDS, EC2, EBS, VPN setup for vendor login, ElastiCache memecache nodes, ELB application load balancers) support for over 40+ animation productions and 1000+ users.
  • Lift and Shit - Migrate 10 Application software license servers from on premises Windows VMs to AWS EC2 running on Linux.

  • Create plugins hosted on a windows VM to process files and write log data to Sumo logic.
  • Create AWS Thinkbox deadline environment with 200+ render nodes that supports 40+ animation productions and 1000+ users, with a Mongo DB for deadline farm metadata.
  • Monitoring/Reporting
  • Tableau dashboards and reports created for upper management to show details of render farm usage.
  • Newrelic monitoring of hosts and synthetic monitors.
  • Flask Server to host internal website to show data related to Shotgrid+Deadline render farm.

  • Create and setup SharePoint to document detailed processes for all animation pipeline technology.
